BYSTANDER is an American heavy metal band blending technical death metal riffs with groove-infused deathcore breakdowns. Their crushing sound appeals to fans of Whitechapel, Meshuggah, and Thy Art Is Murder. Formed in 2010 as Sisyphean Conscience, the band rebranded in 2015 after guitarist John Dormier joined, marking a new creative direction. BYSTANDER now features 4 of its original members: Blaine Brun (guitar), Garrett Haag (drums), Austin Haag (bass), and frontman Taylor Gorman. They are dedicated to delivering intense extreme metal as they take their sound to national and global stages.
